What you get
False Audio Hub
One per project, usually on the master bus
The assistant. It holds the conversation, the list of tracks it can reach, and the change history. It passes audio through untouched.
False Audio Link
On each track you want it to work on
Holds the processing chain and listens to the track. Every stage is off until a proposal or you turn it on.
False Audio Link MIDI
On instrument tracks, as a MIDI effect
Transposes, quantises and adjusts the velocity of incoming notes, live. You set it by hand for now.
Getting started
Your first session, in five steps
Add the Hub
Insert False Audio Hub on your master bus. One per project is enough.Add a Link to each track
Insert False Audio Link on every track you want help with. If a Link shows no track name, type a label in its header.Sign in the Hub
Open the Hub and choose Sign in. It shows a code and opens your browser. Sign in to your account, check the code matches, and connect. If the browser doesn’t open, go to the Connect the Hub page and enter the code there.Play a few bars
Each Link measures the last 8 bars it heard, so play the song before your first request.Ask for something
Type what you want to hear, like “EQ the guitar”. Audition the proposal with A/B, then apply it or cancel.
Make the song you hear in your head.
